What this is
Pickleball Court Guide is an independent directory covering 120 pickleball court businesses across Klang Valley. It exists for players who want a straight answer to “where should I book a court” without wading through scattered listings, outdated Facebook posts, or forum threads. We compare venues on the same set of facts so you can shortlist quickly and then check details yourself before you book.
It’s built for two kinds of readers: people looking for a specific court’s hours, surface, or booking setup, and people comparing several venues in an area before deciding where to play or join a league.
Where the information comes from
Every listing starts from public business data (things like location, hours, court counts, and amenities) and is paired with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we read the pattern of what players are saying and summarise it, then link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read reviews in full and in their original words.
How rankings are earned
Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, not from opinion and not from payment. The full scoring method is on our /methodology/ page, and it’s the same method for every listing in every area. A business appearing here can request corrections to its own factual details (hours, address, contact info, court count, and similar), but it cannot edit its score, its review sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. Keeping that separation is what makes the ranking worth trusting.
Sponsorship, clearly separated
Some pages include sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” shown in their own section apart from the earned ranking, and never allowed to move a business up or down the actual rankings. If you see a sponsored entry, it sits alongside the ranked list, not inside it.
About enquiries
Pickleball Court Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and it also generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a court or coaching provider, we pass your enquiry along to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. These arrangements never touch scores or earned rankings; that logic is disclosed again on the quote page whenever it applies.
Who runs it
This directory is published by Waypoint Local Guides, founded in 2025 to build independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia, starting with pickleball courts in Kuala Lumpur. Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Sarah, Editor. Data is re-checked on a monthly refresh cycle, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see when it was last confirmed rather than assume it’s current. - Can a listed business change its ranking?
- No. A business can correct factual details like hours or contact info, but it cannot edit its score, review sentiment, or position in the ranking.
- Do sponsored listings rank higher?
- No. Sponsored placements are labelled clearly and shown separately from the earned ranking, which is based only on the published scoring method.
- How often is the data updated?
- The full directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
- Does the site pass my details to a court or provider?
- If you ask to be matched, we send your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may earn a referral fee, as disclosed on the quote page. This never affects rankings.
